Tek Heng’s area of practice is principally in corporate law, corporate finance and funds management. After graduating with an Honours degree in law from the University of Warwick, Tek Heng went on to do an M. Phil from the University of Cambridge.
A Barrister at Law from Lincolns Inn, London, Tek Heng was called to the Singapore Bar in 1986 and has practiced in Singapore since then. He was for some time a partner at Rodyk and Davidson and also a partner at Chor Pee & Co.
With 20 years of experience in legal practice, Tek Heng is a Senior Director of Global Law Alliance LLC and practices in the corporate financial services arm of the law corporation. He regularly advises leading fund managers on the regulatory aspects of establishing funds, offering requirements for local and offshore investment products, compliance issues, preparation of offer documents including prospectuses and on financial advisory and securities laws.
Tek has acted for several multi-national corporations in general corporate and commercial law matters. His corporate practice includes advising corporates on their reorganisations, acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder and investment-related matters.
Tek also advises on property related matters and heads up a team involved in sales, purchases, mortgages, refinancings and redemptions, landlord and tenant law, probate law and general solicitor’s work. He has acted for financial institutions in property transactions and in security documentation.
